Between September of 2000 and May 2007 the Comcast Game of the Week covered a complete game from beginning to end. With a crew of professionals and volunteer video personal, three to five cameras catch all the action. Three replay machines make sure that no play is missed. Our color and play by play analysts tell the story as the game unfolds before your eyes.

One very special part about the Game of the Week is that many of the camera, replay, audio and staff have interned with us for years. Now, many of them have rewarding careers in the sports television world. By getting hands on training at Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Volleyball games, our talented crew learns and understands the fundamentals of sports television. If you would like to intern for the Game of the Week send us an email at or call us at (925) 933-6264.

Another rewarding part of the Game of The Week is its value to our Comcast subscribers. No longer does a parent have to tote around a camcorder to the game and miss the live action as it happens. By tape delaying the play back on Saturday and Sunday nights at 7pm, families can get together and re-live all the action from the comfort of there own living room. Many parents and players have used game tapes for college recruiters. Just to name a few Sam Keller, San Ramon Valley-Nebraska Cornhuskers Football, Kyle Wright, Monte Vista-Miami Hurricanes Football, Joe Mortensen, Clayton Valley- Kansas Jayhawks Football.

In all the game has become a part of our community. Families get together and enjoy our productions, coaches review film to understand what happened on certain plays, and best of all many young men and women get a memory to put on there shelf at home to show future generations a time that was very special and important in there life. Hopefully we will revive this project in the coming year when our new production vehicle is finished. Thanks for the memories.
